Make-Up On Rainy Days

Source

As you probably know, I live in The Netherlands, a tropical country, with palmtrees, warm breezes of wind, very tan people, okay, scrap that. It rains almost 24/7, sunny days are rare, and you can only expect warm breezes of wind on days you don't need them. It is kind of hard for us, girls, to live in a country full of rainy days. Especially when you need to get on a bicycle every day to get to school, because when you arrive, you will look like a panda, sort of. So, for those who need it, I'll give you some tips for make up on rainy days or very damp days, whatever you like to call it.

The absolute number one tip: wear waterproof mascara along with waterproof liquid eyeliner. Why? I guess I don't even have to explain it.

Tip number deux: use as little make up as you can. The less that there is to get ruined, the less there will be ruined.

Number three: mainly for damp days, use fixation spray. I personally love using Mac's prep + prime fixation spray, it gives my face a natural glow, and even after a horrific, energetic (not in a good way) adventure on my bike on my way to the city in the dead of night, my make up was still perfect plus my face was not a mirror, though it felt like it should. Gotta love it.

This may come in handy: don't forget an umbrella, it saves your hair and face. Speaking of hair, if you have curly of fizzy hair, don't waste your time straightening it. Unless you have a moist barrier hairspray, but I don't think that will work if there's a storm-like rainy wheater outside.

Oh, and use make up in pencils, if you know what I mean. Like eyeliner pencils. Those are better resistant to water.

Hope these tips help you! It does help me (I think(?), but that's what I always do on rainy days, wearing little bits of make up..).

Gosh, I wish we had schoolbuses.
