Tip: Long Lasting Nail Polish

Everybody who polishes their nails wants it to last at least a few days. It is a bummer when you polished your nails a day before and find a chip. Well, I found a brand with excellent nailpolishes which last at least 3 days! I'm wearing this polish for about (I think) 4 to 6 or 7 days now and it still looks amazing (except for the outgrowth..)!

You can't really see it on the picture, but in real life you can really see a edge of new nail right above my cuticles. Guess you can't always get what you want huh?
Enough mumbo jumbo. I'll tell you how I got my polish like this for a few days.

I used just a simple, cheap base coat.
First, I removed my old nail polish with remover. Make sure you remove all of it. Then I applied one layer of base coat and let it dry well.

After that I applied a few thin layers of Bourjois effet faux ongles (false nail effect) in color 52 Rose précieux. It has a very handy brush, which is flat and round at the top. You can easily work with it once you get it. I used two layers and if it was necessary three.
After two or three days it was still perfectly, but I got bored of the color. I wanted to remove it, but then a little cute nail polish caught my eye.

It's a very small bottle with only 3 ml in it or 0.10 fl.oz. I once got it in a Yves Rocher shop, it was just 1,50 EUR. I applied one coat while I was watching some videos on YouTube and when I was finished it looked quite good. I was totally bored, so I applied one more coat on my pinky to see how it would look like and I kinda liked it. So, finally I applied 2 coats of this polish on my nails and it looked like this:

It was light pink with a sheer purple color on top and it had a goldy shimmer on top. I didn't really dry when I started to, you know, pick things up again and all that stuff, so my right hand was like full of damages.

One or two days later I got bored (again) and added a top coat on it, hoping the surface of the nail polish on my right hand would be smooth (one coat doesn't really work for that).

But after all these days my base color didn't chip. I washed my hair a few times and used the computer all the time. Gotta love long lasting nailpolish huh? :)

Eventually these are all the products I used on mu nails. Sorry for the bad lighting, I tried to lighten the pictures up like the one with the diamond shine polish of Sally Hansen, but it didn't really work for the others because of the colors.
Without all 3(!) layers on top of the Bourjois polish, it also would've last this long. I totally love this brand (Bourjois), because of the long lasting polishes! :D

Happy nailpolishing!

xoxo -Anna

PS. I do not recommend five layers of polish on your nails. It's like hell to remove it!

Edit: This was actually a blogpost/review on the Bourjois long lasting nailpolish :) (but kind of changed into a How-To)

Edit: Here is a picture, made on the next day, in sunlight, to show how it kind of looks like. In the next blogpost you'll be able to see it too :). Had to put my hand in that position so the colors would show up as in real life.
