My MAC Eyeshadows

Yesterday I mentioned using NYX's eyeshadowcolor with a taupe one, which is one from MAC. I wanted to show you which color is was, but then I thought; why not showing you all my MAC eyeshadows? Want to know more? Keep on reading!

Since I started blogging on BeautyTrace I haven't even mentioned a MAC eyeshadow, but I do remember writing about one. Anyway, as you can see on the picture above I 'only' have three eyeshadows from MAC. In The Netherlands they only sell MAC in big cities. The nearest MAC-counter is one hour drive away from where I live. That's why I don't have that much MAC products. Buying a few eyeshadows a time hurts my wallet too much. If you know what I mean ;-) and besides, one at a time is good too right? You'll get more loving-your-new-eyeshadow-time altogether! If there'd be MAC-counter near where I live, I probably would've been bankrupt by now.

The first color I got was the purple one. It's called 'Crème de Violet'. I was there for the first time and a make up artist helped me pick a color. I said I didn't want a brown one, because I already had that much brown in my collection and she said this color would suit my eyecolor perfectly. Well, I went for it and it does suit my eyecolor (brown), but I don't go that much for a colorfull look, so this is the one I use the least of the three.

As you can see the lable says it's a frost, or it has a frost finish, which means this color contains small shimmer particles. It doesn't have the same finish as a metallic one. I don't want to go too deep into that, since this isn't a review.

The next one I got is 'Expensive Pink'. It's a lovely color. I LOVEEE this one. It's kind of a pink with a golden shine on it, really hard to explain, but I will be writing a blogpost about it.

I don't have any other color in my eyeshadow stash which comes close to this color. It's a very unique one. And have I mentioned I love it?

This one has a 'veluxe pearl' finish. I can tell you; it does look like the colors of a pearl. Pearly shimmers... *melts from the inside*.

And last but not least: my taupe color in 'Satin Taupe'. Like the name says, it's a taupe and this one I looooove tooooo. You can combine it with every look you can think of: a descent daylook, a smokey clubbing look, a soft look.... etc, etc.

These pictures don't do justice to how the eyeshadows look in real life, but when I get my SD-card fixed, I'll shoot some pictures of these lovely colors!

Satin Taupe also has a frost finish, but it has a 'heavier' level of shimmer than Crème de Violet. This one almost has a metallic-like finish, while Crème de Violet is a matte color with a few lovely shimmers in it. At this moment this one is my favorite! I use it almost everyday as an 'extension' of my eyeliner. love.

Well, these three are my MAC eyeshadows till this very moment and I forgot to say: all these three eyeshadows have a different texture, but I'll talk about that later.

Hope you enjoyed and tell me what color eyeshadow(s) from MAC you love!

Have a lovely day,

Anna
