NYX Bohemian Rhapsody Eyeshadow Palette

I love NYX. A few years ago I wrote a review about the eyeshadow palette for brown eyes and I loved that one! I still do, but last year, when I went to Frankfurt in August, I bought another palette: the Bohemian Rhapsody palette. Want to know what colors it has?

The back of the packaging is just the same as all the other palettes of NYX. As you can see this one is from the Runway Collection and it's name is 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.

It has ten colors, since it's a ten color palette. No animals were harmed with the production of the eyeshadow, which is great. In total there are 14 grams of eyeshadow in this palette, so each pan is worth 1,4 grams of eyeshadow. One MAC eyeshadow contains 1,5 grams, so it's almost the same amount. Not too little, not too much. Now, the colors:

*drools* I love nude/natural eyeshadow colors. I just can't get enough of them! My go to color is most of the time brown, because it won't look to harsh in daytime and when nighttime arrives, you can build up the color and make it more smokey. I really like this palette and I regret nothing so far buying this beauty!

As you can see the upper five colors are shimmery and the buttom five are matte. I like that, it gives you more options to play with the colors when creating a look. At this moment I daily use the matte dark brown in the centre mixed with the matte color on the left on my moving eyelid and a taupe color (not from this palette) on the upper lash line. And the lightest color as a highlighter. The sponge applicator I used once, because I just washed all my brushes and they were still wet, but overall I  don't really use the sponge applicators. Next stop: the swatches!

In brighter light
The shimmery colors have great pigment and the matte ones are more soft, but most of the time matte colors are softer/less pigmented than shimmery ones. I don't mind that, I love the soft look it creates on my eyes and when you want more pigment from the matte ones, just use an eyeshadow base, it makes a lot of difference! For this palette I paid 7-10 EUR, I don't really remember. This is my favorite palette at this moment and in real life the colors show a little bit more pigment, my camera doesn't pick them up that very well. I used my phone to make pictures, because the SD-card of my camera is acting weird :(

Hope you liked it and have a great day.

Anna
